About Me

Born and bred in Keller, Texas I have a strong pull and understanding of the North Texas region. I graduated from the University of North Texas in May of 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing while obtaining distinguished honors. I gained hands-on experience in the field working with real companies such as The American Petroleum Institute and Matador Resources. I worked with these companies on branding changes, strategic advances, and top-to-bottom business plans. I competed in many case competitions, often placing in the top 3 spots. I am a dedicated, flexible, hard-working, driven, trustworthy and self-motivated individual. Because of this determination, I was qualified to be in many honor societies and organizations such as; Mu Kappa Tau, Delta Epsilon Iota, and Phi Sigma Pi where I served as the Inter Relations Chair and then the Chapter President.

I went on to complete my Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus on marketing and management at The University of North Texas, earning my MBA in August 2018. Once again, graduating with honors.

Upon graduating with my bachelor’s, I went on to work as a Marketing Manager for Sandler Training - Sales and Management Results located in Fort Worth, Texas. I developed all marketing materials and performed various tasks including but not limited to: digital media, print media, social media, newsletters, website management, procurement, and development of training and presentation materials. When I decided to seek an MBA, I took a position with Embark CCT as a marketing manager completing similar tasks.

I then went into the public relations and communications field in 2019 as the Community Engagement and Marketing Specialist for Northwest Independent School District where I truly found my passion and an outlet to grow and showcase my talents. Within two years, I was promoted to Coordinator of Communications and Community Relations and took on a leadership role within my team and the district. I serve as an ambassador for the Metroport Chamber of Commerce and I sit on the Board of Directors for the Wise County Chamber of Commerce. I am currently growing this position to best serve the students, educators, and community within Northwest ISD. In 2021, I earned my designation as a Certified Public Communicator from Texas Christian University, and in 2022 I earned accreditation as a Certified Regional Advantage Leader through the Metroport Chamber of Commerce. I am currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership from Abilene Christian University and expect to graduate in May 2026.

I currently reside in Fort Worth, Texas with my husband Garrett who works in construction estimation and is a United States Navy Veteran. We have two rambunctious lab rescue dogs, Gunner and Tucker, who run our lives. I spend my free time reading, cooking, traveling, running, hosting family and friends, and decorating our home much to my husband’s dismay.
